Level: Intermediate & Advanced
Intermediate courses focus on applying a new analytic tool or framework within the topic area. Advanced courses are similar to intermediate courses but require completing a more complex project or assignment.
Track: Analyst
Courses targeted to analysts focus learning new approaches for managing and analyzing data in statistical software such as R or SAS, or learning version control procedures using git.
Audience: Those interested in expanding their data visualization skillset.
Overview: This course discusses the theory behind effective graphical design, how to apply this theory to communicating health data to different audiences, and how to produce a variety of graphical types using primarily the ggplot command in the statistical analysis program R. There are two lectures per week accompanied by readings. Generally, the course content and assignments alternate weekly between theory and R programming.
Time commitment: 12+ hours
Certificate: Watch 12 training videos that are ~1 hour each for tier 2 certificate (intermediate) or complete an additional 4 guided R exercises for tier 1 certificate (advanced).
